A Chicago boy, Curtiss caught the radio bug as a DJ on Downers Grove North High School’s, 88.1 WDGC. After that, "It was on" as they say. After graduating Magna Cum Laude at Columbia College Of Chicago, with a BA in Radio Broadcasting, his internship at Q101 in Chicago developed into a full time position at NBC and then Emmis Broadcasting. Stops included WAIT-FM in Crystal Lake, Production Director and Afternoon drive host on WLKZ-FM in New Hampshire.

Mornings and Programming were next at WABK FM and AM in Augusta, Maine, and then on to Harrisburg, PA as Production Director at 93.5 WTPA-FM and WNCE 92.1, winning National Association of Broadcasters awards for Best Station Promo two years in a row. On to Albany, NY as Program Director and Morning Host of Smooth Jazz WHRL 103.1, where he was nominated for Program Director of the Year from both Radio and Records and Gavin Magazine, while his station was nominated for the Marconi Award for Smooth Jazz Station of the Year.

Curtiss moved to Raleigh, NC, accepting a position at Curtis Media Group as Corporate Program Director and Operations Manager. After moving on to form his own radio consultancy, POTO (Pointing Out The Obvious) Brant moved into the world of commercial TV production, working for a local agency in Raleigh where after two years, he and fellow co-worker Henry Garrou left the company to begin their own in 2005. Living in Raleigh now for almost 20 years, he and his wife Kelly, and daughter Paige enjoy the southern lifestyle!
